$weetcheeks Polish: Eric & Jetta

If you missed yesterday's post announcing the winner of my 1-Year Blogiversary Giveaway, go check it out now!  Today I've got two cool polishes to show you today from a relatively new indie brand, $weetcheeks Polish.

Read on after the jump for more photos and a full review!  :)
First up is Eric, a blackened green jelly polish with a subtle silvery shimmer.  I layered one coat over Orly Le Chateau; it was very sheer, but you could probably build it up by itself in four coats since the formula was pretty easy to work with.

From the $weetcheeks Polish Etsy shop: "Based on Eric Raymond from the 80's TV show Jem and The Holograms. Eric Raymond is the main bad guy in the series, a greedy and manipulative music executive who initially runs Starlight Music at the time of Jerrica's fathers death. Handsome and extremely devious, he is a very smart and savvy (albeit dishonest) business man and will do almost anything to sabotage Jem and the Holograms, even trying to kill them!"

I was pleasantly surprised when this dried to a satin/matte finish, it looks so cool!  I didn't add top coat to keep the look; dry time was alright, although you'll be waiting quite a while if you decide to build it up alone.  If you're dead-set on wearing it alone, the best option would probably be to add a quick-drying top coat, and then another matte top coat if you're as impatient as I am, haha!

Second for today is Jetta, a mix of black micro-bar glitter, and small gunmetal, white, and iridescent hex glitters in a clear base.  I layered one coat (no top coat) over Eric, since they seemed to work perfectly together!  I was pleasantly surprised to find that this glitter topper applied effortlessly, with a perfect even spread of glitter.  Awesome!

From the Etsy shop: "Based on Jetta from the 80's TV show Jem and The Holograms. Jetta became a Misfit when Stormer hears her playing the saxophone. Jetta is a conceited, pathological liar and has very sticky fingers! Extremely perceptive and stuck-up, Jetta almost immediately begins a rivalry with fellow Misfit Roxy."

This is a super unique mix in my mind, and I think it looks fantastic over Eric!  Although you can't really see the black micro-bar glitter over the darker colour, it adds a really cool depth to the base, while the other glitters sparkle on top.  This one is so cool!

You can purchase $weetcheeks Polish on Etsy, and like the Facebook page for updates.  As a bonus, $1 from each polish sold is donated to the Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association!

Even though I know nothing about Jem and the Holograms, these polishes are still pretty cool in their own way!  What do you think of them?  :)
